Looks like Kip Mckean has never changed. I was a part of the Indian church of Christ from 1990 till 1997. Being a Roman catholic all my life previously, i had no idea of the real interpretations to some of the scriptures in the Bible. I went by what ever was taught to me thru the church doctrines. however a child doesnt remain a child forever, so did i, i began to mature. God started to reveal the Scriptures in His meaning to me; the true interpretation. THats when i began to ask questions and tried to find answers. when i didnt succeed i took those questions to my leaders. I was offered manipulation as answers which didnt go well in me. DEAD END: i needed answers, but i was finally told that the doctrine they taught is what they believe-in and if i differed, i free to make my way out.(they did this with no reference from the Bible why what they believed was right).
International Church of Christ under Kip was is not a Church. Like he claims it was a movement. It was an oppressive movement.
The movement was product of one man's convictions (Kip is a very strong man), he managed to sell it to the world. The movement was built on the wrong foundation of manipulated and distorted scriptures. a mechanism was built using the doctrine, it was a mechanism of bondage . the mechanism always infused fear and guilt in the members. the mechanism constantly threatened the members constantly both emotionally and religiously to work, live and die for the movement. Life outside the organisation meant salvation cancelled and sure shot hell coz God worked within the parameters of the movement.
Bible says we are saved by Grace and not works. if you accept Jesus as personal Saviour and be Baptized, you are saved. but the organisation says if you havent done the work of the disciple and you havent been in the only true church you are not a christian.
If you have already accepted Jesus, your acceptance and salvation means nothing until you are in the right church. so they go on to rebaptize the already believers. which means its not Jesus who gives salvation but the works and the church. FOR GOD'S SAKE THAT IS BLASPHEMY.
Kip with his new movement has renewed his vision to bind and make people slaves thru his doctrine so that he could oppress and rule. So addicted to unquestioned leadership and authority. its evil refined.
if you manage to stay away from this, and you would have saved yourself from evil.
I would like to know what others think of what i said here.
